Floating Point – Forest includes clusters of fabric sculptures illuminated by moving images of projected lights accompanied by a multi-channel sound installation. Each sculpture is lit by a unique collection of dynamic images of sunlight streaming through the leaves of trees, and each has its own soundscape accompaniment. At times a pond, which is projected on the floor, becomes visible. The audience is invited to take a walk through the forest (installation) and feel the atmosphere. The luminous sculptures co-exist with eight channels of sound assigned to eight speakers (some of them hidden in the ‘trees’). Four CD players play tracks on a random repeat mode.
